บทสัมภาษณ์ FFXV จากงาน Gamescom 2016 โดยเดนเกคิออนไลน์

Q. What are your plans for TGS in September?

A. We wanted to deliver and show the latest situation of the game and our main priority is to have the fans play the latest build.

Q. Fishing within the beautiful scenery looks irresistible. Please tell us if there is a 'collective element' to fishing.

A. There are quite a lot of lures and fishing poles, so you can look forward to that.

On top of that, the FFXV booth has been given a large booth at Gamescom this year and a fishing specialist from a industry leading company came to try fishing. He complemented that in recent games, fishing in FFXV is number one! *laughs*

Q. Is creating magic with elements to some extent optionally created by the players?

A. You can create hybrid magic, or combine items to create magic with various effects. It is even possible to create powerful magic early in the game.

Q. While driving the Regalia, you are able to listen to music from previous FF titles. Will things from previous titles appear within the game?

A. As you are playing out your adventure as FFXV, we think that it would be best that elements from previous title do not appear in the game.

However, we think that while you are driving it's your own private time, so we thought at least music was okay.

Q. In the gameplay video that was released a few days ago, it showed a aged Noctis and another being that was protecting the throne, could you tell us anything about this?

A. (Tabata) That... I cannot say *laughs*. But, I did not show for the sake of spoilers, but I wanted to show how the characters were 'alive'. In the Platinum Demo, it showed a child Noctis and in the latest video it showed a aged Noctis. And of course, there is a whole story on how the characters ended up that way and that you have to play the game to find out.

Q. Speaking of the same gameplay video, I felt that the co-ordination between Noctis' comrades was considerably precise. Was that because the player was good at the game?

A. Not at all. The link attacks with Noct's comrades in the gameplay video can be executed from a wide variety of commands and many attacks are activated automatically.
To learn and remember what kind of link attacks are possible is part of the strategy and until you learn them, you will experience various changes as you fight. On top of that, you will acquire various reactions, so this is a geniune mechanic to look forward to.

Q. In the gameplay video, it showed a guest party member besides the Chocobro's. Please tell us more about that.

A. I assume you are talking about Cor who has been around since Versus XIII. Cor joins as a guest party member early in the game and as you progress further, other characters will also join as guest members.

Q. Please tell us more about the difficulty of the game.

A. First of all, there isn't the standard difficulty of easy, normal and hard. In FFXV, there is a standard (normal) difficulty and easy mode that will make the game easier to beat. You can change this at any time during your play.

How easy mode works is, if you are having trouble defeating an enemy, it makes it easier to defeat. You as the player gain big status advantages and it is made so that you can generally win by just button mashing.

And if you add wait mode to it, the action gameplay becomes a whole lot easier to handle. You can play at your own leisure with the combination of weaker enemies.

Q. There was a delay with the release date, was that because you wanted to achieve a better quality?

A. There was that optimization was yet insufficient and there were flaws that appeared weird when looking at it, but there is no game-breaking bug or glitch. We wanted to fix those areas.

At first, we wanted to fix this with a Day 1 patch at launch. But as we looked into the contents of the patch, there were many things that should already be on the disc in the first place. So we decided to properly implement everything into the game disc.

It's not that we are dropping further patches and DLC, but at the least we wanted to deliver a complete package for those who do not have internet for release.

Q. Are you perhaps working to cram in more gameplay mechanics and not just improve graphics alone?

A. We are not adding more, but we want to make the gameplay more smooth and we want to remove the factor that obstructs the gameplay. In terms of gameplay mechanics, we are further working on balance fixes.

(Perhaps they will work on the potions?)

Q. Please tell us more about the various stopover while traveling by car.

A. Of course you can fish and play mini-games like JM5. Others you can adventure out to collect various materials to upgrade your car, or collect elements to craft magic. 

Q. Lastly, could you please say a word for the fans.

A. Firstly I want to apologize to not just the players and fans, but to everyone who is affected by this delay. I truly apologize and I feel guilty.

For the players, I am truly sorry but I had to make this difficult decision. As to why I decided to make this delay is because I wanted to deliver a complete FFXV experience for the players.

Although I am truly sorry for the delayed release date, I want to deliver a superior FFXV and I will co-operate with everyone in the team to create this. So please look forward to the release of FFXV in November 29th.
