FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII - All Trailers [HD Remastered]

น้ำตาจะไหล คุณ 13th Vessel หรือ Miguel เทพแฮ็คเกอร์ในตำนาน ซึ่งเคยทักมาหาผมเมื่อปลายเดือนกันยายนปีก่อน แล้วถามว่าผมมี preserved DIRECT FEED material ชิ้นนั้นนู้นนี้ ต่าง ๆ มากมายของ Square Enix ในอดีตเก็บไว้มั้ย ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ (สิ่งที่ปล่อยมาในช่วง 2004 - 2014 ที่เป็นช่วง ม.ปลาย จนถึงช่วงพีกของผม) ผมมี แล้วได้ส่งมอบให้เขาไป

ครึ่งปีผ่านไป ปรากฏว่าคุณ Miguel เขาเอาคลิป Direct Feed ของ Final Fantasy Versus XIII ทั้งหมด ไปรีมาสเตอร์ใหม่ด้วย advanced AI techniques, color fixes and much more ของแก แล้วก็ได้กล่าวขอบคุณ เครดิตเพื่อนแต่ละคน รวมถึงผมด้วย!!

สิ่งที่ทำให้ผมดีใจเนื้อเต้นคือ... ตั้งแต่เด็กมา ผมรู้สึกอยากเก็บรักษาหน้าประวัติศาสตร์ทั้งหมดของเรื่องราวที่สนใจไว้ ดังนั้น ใน HDD เก่าของผมจะเต็มไปด้วยภาพสแกนแฟมิซือ เดนเกคิ โดริมากา, คลิปเทรลเลอร์ direct feed, media kit, บนความเก่า ๆ ของคนในอดีต, หน้ากระทู้จากสารพัด webboard ต่าง ๆ ซึ่งอย่าง FFXI นี่ผมเซฟไว้มหาศาลมาก...

ซึ่งในสยามชาติ ผมยังไม่เคยเจอคนที่ให้ฟีลเป็น 'ผู้บันทึกและเก็บรักษาประวัติศาสตร์' แบบนี้มาก่อน (แต่อย่างน้อยผมโคตรดีใจที่สุด ตอนที่ได้เจอแอดซัน แอดมิน PES Thai ที่เป็นคนข่าวที่ให้ฟีลใกล้เคียงกับการใช้ชีวิตในจักรวาลนักข่าวของผมที่สุดแล้ว) คือผมอาจจะเจอคนที่เป็นแฟนพันธุ์แท้ในสาขาต่าง ๆ แต่ก็ยังไม่เคยเจอพวกบ้าบันทึกและรักษาประวัติศาสตร์แบบนี้

ทว่าในโลกอันกว้างใหญ่นี้ ผมก็พบว่าในต่างแดน มันมีคนที่ทำแบบผมอยู่ไม่น้อย พวกที่คลั่งการเก็บรักษาข้อมูลไว้ แล้วรู้ว่ามันจะกลายเป็นสิ่งล้ำค่าในอนาคต อย่างน้อยก็สำหรับคนแบบเรา ๆ ด้วยกัน

"ดีจังเลย ที่มีคนบ้าแบบเดียวกับเราอยู่บนโลกอีกตั้งเยอะ" ผมคิดแบบนั้น

ตอนที่ 13th Vessel เขาพยายามขี่ไทม์แมชชีน (ใช้ Wayback Machine) ย้อนอดีตไปถึงช่วงที่ Media Kit, Direct Feed ต่าง ๆ ออกมา แล้วหาว่าเว็บไซต์ไหนมีเอาไปลงไว้บ้าง แล้วไล่ติดต่อหาเจ้าของทีละคนเพื่อสอบถามว่ายังเก็บไฟล์ไว้มั้ย แล้วแกไล่ถามไปรอบโลกจนกระทั่งมาเจอผม แล้วผมเสือกมี!! มันเป็นความรู้สึกแบบ เย็ดเข้!! กันทั้งคู่

คุณ Miguel เขาก็เย้ดเข้ ที่ finally ก็ได้เจอสิ่งที่ตามหาแล้ว!

ส่วนผมก็เย็ดเข้ว่า ไอ้เรื่องบ้า ๆ ที่ทำมาตลอดและดูไร้ความหมาย มันเปล่งประกาย และถึงเวลาที่มันจะได้แสดงผลของมันแล้ว

สุดท้าย เขาก็นำไฟล์บางส่วนจากผมไป ร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการทำคลิปนี้ ซึ่งเป็นอีกหนทางหนึ่งในการ preserved history ขึ้นมา มันคือสิ่งที่เกิดจากความร่วมมือของคนบ้า ๆ อย่างเรา ๆ ที่มีอุดมการณ์ร่วมกัน - https://youtu.be/w0SSeBcWpJc

How are you doing folks? Today I bring you something very special, a compilation of EVERY single FF Versus 13 trailer remastered using advanced AI techniques, color fixes and much more. I wanted to do this because these days it's hard to find any of this footage in good quality. I'm conscious that there are other "remasterizations" around, but none of them was done in a proper way in my opinion so... I wanted to go ahead and try to do it myself. I also wanted to make some kind of tribute to this game because it truly deserves it. It's a shame that we never got to play this title and we'll probably never will. I know that we're getting "VERUM REX", but according to Nomura, both Versus XIII and Verum Rex are different. So yeah... while I'm loving Verum Rex I still would love to know more about the Versus 13 original story. #RestoreVersusXIII

This remasterization was work was made using DIRECT FEED material released from Square Enix, so it was made in the best way possible. There are cases where the direct feed was a very poor source like the first trailer but still every video file that I used was downloaded from Square Enix sources using Wayback Machine or talking with friends that managed to preserve them in time.

There are two missing trailers that were never released officially:

▶️ Jump Festa 2007: Similar to the DKΣ3713 but it has extended CGI footage of Prompto with Noctis and Ravus in the Throne Room, it was leaked and it can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gslrN...

▶️ Jump Festa 2010: Similar to the FNC Conferece Trailer, Noctis appears standing with the his new Roen Clothes and then drives a car in daytime, concludes with "Reveal soon". There's no footage up to this day.
